A Medcenter One doctor has been promoted to corporate medical director.
Dr. Anthony Tello, an internal medicine doctor, will take over the responsibilities held by Dr. Craig Lambrecht.
Tello has worked at Medcenter One for more than 20 years. He will maintain his medical practice part time.
He completed his medical degree at the CETEC University School of Medicine in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and completed his residency at Trenton Affiliated Hospitals in Trenton, N.J. In addition, he completed a fellowship in critical care at Cooper Hospital, University Medical Center in Camden, N.J.
Lambrecht was promoted to chief operating officer in October. He took on some of the responsibilities of CEOand President Jim Cooper so that he would have more time for advocacy work on behalf of the hospital.
Cooper and the Medcenter One board of trustees are working on a succession plan for his eventual retirement. He has not announced a departure date.
