A $2,500 bond was set for Jacqueline White Eagle, 19, of Bismarck, on Wednesday for charges of minor in consumption, resisting arrest, assault on a police officer, contact by bodily fluids and disorderly conduct.
She appeared before South Central District Judge Bruce Romanick without counsel.
The charges stemmed from a Tuesday evening arrest. Authorities responded to a report of a fight at a south side residence.
Officers reported White Eagle was found lying on the living room floor with a bloody nose.
Authorities said White Eagle would not cooperate or say what happened. They said she had been aggressive with several people at the residence.
They arrested her for minor in consumption and she was resistant. "She pulled away from our officer several times. At the patrol car, she started to kick and kicked one of our officers in the right thigh," said Bismarck Police Lt. Randy Ziegler.
"She also spit on one of our female officers who was assisting."
The suspect was eventually hobbled and taken to the Burleigh County Detention Center.
The contact with bodily fluids charge stems from White Eagle allegedly spitting on the female officer. It is a Class C felony.
The attempted assault on an officer also is a Class C felony.
With a conviction, each carry a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
Hearing dates are pending for White Eagle for the two felony charges in South Central District Court.
A hearing for revocation of probation also is pending for previous charges of contact by bodily fluids, attempted simple assault against a peace officer and a misdemeanor escape charge.
