Educators in Burleigh County can attend a local 15-hour Food, Land & People class at no cost.
To support educators, the Burleigh County Soil Conservation District is paying the North Dakota State University Continuing Education Credit fee. Those interested should register early to take advantage of the offer.
The course is designed to enhance teaching skills, strategies and content knowledge concerning social studies, science and healthy lifestyles.
The 55 hands-on lessons have been aligned by NDSU to the North Dakota State Standards in the math, science, social studies and language arts content areas. In addition to many classroom materials, the class fee includes your meals and a tour.
The workshop will be held July 29-30 in Bismarck.
To register for the class, go to www.ndfb.org/promotion/default.asp?ID=315. Register by July 18.
