The reconstruction of Mandan Avenue begins today, so motorists who use the route should be prepared for changes.

Mandan Avenue will be converted to a 12-foot one-way road for southbound traffic. Northbound traffic is not allowed and commuters should take alternate routes.

Access to local businesses will be maintained at all times. Signs will be placed to direct traffic to the businesses.

The traffic change will remain in place until the end of summer or early fall. Motorists are encouraged to use extra caution in work zones, obey flaggers and posted signage.
