Jury selection entered its third day in the Moe Maurice Gibbs trial.
Seven potential jurors were interviewed this morning. Attorneys quizzed seven women and Southeast District Judge John Paulson dismissed two.
Gibbs is on trial for the murder of Mindy Morgenstern, a Valley City State College student from New Salem. His first trial ended in a hung jury.
One of the women dismissed today said she already had an opinion in the case. The other woman was dismissed because she would be uncomfortable sitting through a trial.
Paulson closed the courtroom on several occasions this morning to hear motions from attorneys.
Paulson denied one motion, heard in open court, from the defense not to allow a doctor to testify about scratches on Gibbs' hands.
Jury selection continues this afternoon.
