A Mandan man killed when the boom truck he was driving overturned has been identified as Christopher Joe Schaff.

Schaff, 26, died at the scene of the crash on North Dakota Highway 6 on Tuesday.

Schaff was heading south to a work site near Breien on Tuesday morning when he lost control of the 1977 Ford boom truck on a downward slope, then overcorrected.

The truck overturned. Schaff, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the truck.
