A sizable portion of the collection of American Indian art at United Tribes Technical College will be on display during an open house at the college's art gallery from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday. The public is invited to attend.
The United Tribes collection, assembled over the past 30 years, includes two and three dimensional works. Many have been gifted to the college by Native artists.
The event includes an art market and showcase by Native artists. Refreshments will be served.
Those attending will have an opportunity to meet Miss Indian Nations XV Shere Lynn Wright (Sicangu Lakota), Rosebud, S.D.
The United Tribes Art Gallery is located in Building 10, a log cabin-style building on the north side of campus. Customarily the gallery is open to the public only by appointment.
