Police are looking for two men - one of whom is wanted for attempted murder - who fled the scene of a fight early this morning in south Bismarck.
According to Lt. Dan Donlin, the two men were involved in a fight in which another man was hit on the head several times with a hammer, run over by a pickup and dragged about 30 feet.
The victim, a 21-year-old Hazen man, was taken to a Bismarck hospital for treatment. His name and condition were not immediately released.
Donlin said arrest warrants were issued for Travis Ryberg, 18, of Bismarck, and Gabriel Jaffe-Norris, 26, whose current address was not known. Donlin said Jaffe-Norris had lived in rural Bismarck.
Ryberg is facing charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, leaving the scene of an injury accident, and driving under suspension. Jaffe-Norris is facing a terrorizing charge. Donlin said several witnesses described what happened during the fight, which occurred after all three men attended a party in the 300 block of E. Wachter Avenue. Police received a call of an injury accident there at about 2 a.m.
The pickup used in the incident has been found, Donlin said.
Ryberg is a white male, about 5-feet-9 and 165 pounds, with blond hair and hazel eyes. His address, police said, is 1709 N. Bell St. Jaffe-Norris is a black male, about 5-feet-6 and 195 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information on the suspects should contact the police department at 223-1212.
