MINOT (AP) - A 51-year-old Minot motorcyclist has died of head injuries he suffered in a crash with a deer.

The Highway Patrol says Douglas Schieve was injured Monday morning on U.S. Highway 52, while riding to work.

Authorities estimate Schlieve was traveling about 65 mph when the deer jumped out of the ditch.

The patrol says Schlieve was not wearing a helmet.
