The Bismarck Police Department is looking for a missing Bismarck man who hasn't been seen since participating in a ceremony at the United Tribes International Powwow.
Richard Edward Blue Earth, 63, was last seen at around 4:30 p.m. Sunday. He was last seen wearing military fatigues, as he is a veteran and had taken part in a closing ceremony at the powwow.
Bismarck Police Sgt. Dwight Offerman said Blue Earth's wife reported him missing on Sunday. She said he may have met up with friends from Fort Peck, Mont., and went there. However, police have been unable to locate him there or find evidence that he had been there, Offerman said.
Offerman said Blue Earth has "chronic medical conditions" that require medications be taken on a regular basis. He said he could not comment on Blue Earth's specific medical problems.
"He needs medication just to maintain normalcy," he said.
Blue Earth is 5 feet 6 inches tall and 195 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.
Law enforcement in the Fort Peck, Mont., area has been notified to be on the lookout for Blue Earth, and information about him has been entered into national law enforcement databases.
Police do not have possible vehicle descriptions at this time.
Anyone with information about Blue Earth's whereabouts should call the Bismarck Police Department at 223-1212.
