iNet Technologies wins award

The Minot Area Chamber of Commerce has presented iNet Technologies with the 2008 "Above and Beyond" award for the Web site the company developed on a pro bono basis for the Minot Young Professionals Network at www.ypminot.com.

"Sharing YP Minot's goal of making the community a fun place to live and work, iNet developed a Web site that not only targets the 21- to 39-year-old audience, but is easy for the organization to maintain and update," said Carla Dolan Moorhead, program director for the chamber.

iNet Technologies is a Web development and online consulting company with offices in Minot, Bismarck and Fargo.

MDU announces dividend

The MDU Resources Group board of directors has declared a quarterly common stock dividend of 15.5 cents per share, a 6.9 percent increase from the previous quarterly dividend of 14.5 cents.

This results in an annualized dividend of 62 cents per share, an increase of 4 cents.

"This is the 18th consecutive year we have increased the common stock dividend," said Harry J. Pearce, chairman of the board. "We are extremely proud of that, and of our 71-year unbroken record of consecutive dividend payments stretching back to 1937."

The board of directors also declared dividends on preferred stock as follows:

n $1.12-½ per share on 4.50 percent Series Preferred

n $1.17-½ per share on 4.70 percent Series Preferred

n $1.27-½ per share on 5.10 percent Series Preferred

The dividends are payable Oct. 1, to stockholders of record Sept. 11, 2008.

Travel agency changing name

The Carlson Wagonlit Travel location in Dickinson will join the more than 500 U.S.-based franchised Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associates in a name change,

The new name will be Travel Leaders.

Because Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associates is no longer associated with Carlson or its Carlson Wagonlit Travel corporate travel management company, a rebranding process was initiated to distinguish franchisees from CWT.

Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associates is a division of Minnesota-based The Travel Franchise Group, which is a unit of Travel Acquisitions Group, which was formed in January 2008 when Carlson Leisure Group was sold to a management team led by Michael Batt.

Gate City Bank adding location

Gate City Bank plans to open a full-service location in a new building in Alexandria, Minn., in early 2009.

"Gate City Bank has been dedicated to serving communities in Minnesota and North Dakota for 85 years, and we have experienced tremendous growth throughout the decades," said Steve Swiontek, Gate City Bank chairman, president and CEO. With the addition of the Alexandria office, Gate City Bank will have 29 locations in North Dakota and western Minnesota.

Dakota Supply earns award

Dakota Supply Group received the 2008 Best of the Best overall distributor award from The Electrical Distributor magazine. Nearly 450 entries in more than 40 categories from across the United States were reviewed. DSG received its top honor at the NAED AdVenture Sales & Marketing Conference in Chicago.

DSG also won the 2008 Best of the Best award in the brand awareness category and an honorable mention in the integrated promotional campaign category.

Fargo-headquartered DSG's marketing is created through a partnership with Anchor Marketing, Grand Forks.

Medcenter One launches new site

Medcenter One recently launched an external Web site, medcenterone.com, which includes a walk-in clinic wait time feature.

The wait-time feature tracks the number of patients registered at the three walk-in clinics and estimates the wait time based upon those registrations. The wait times are updated every 15 minutes for the downtown, north and pediatric walk-in clinics. Web site users also can request an appointment on-line, refill a prescription on-line and send a greeting card to patients.

Minot agency's work recognized

Results Unlimited, a Minot marketing and advertising agency, received two awards of distinction from the Communicator Awards international program, and two bronze awards from the Telly Awards.

The awards recognize two videos done for Trinity Health in Minot, a self-promotional video for Results Unlimited and a Croplan "Total Farm Solutions" video,

A live mix of the 2007 MusicFest concert at New Town also earned a silver Telly for Results Unlimited.
