Heintz awarded
The Dee Heintz Agency Inc. has been named District 386 Agent of the Month for American Family Insurance. Heintz received the honor for outstanding sales of American Family insurance products during the month of March.
Potts joins
Katie Potts has joined the North Dakota Chamber of Commerce as the administrative assistant. Potts will assist in coordinating the chamber's legislative activity. She has an associate's degree in applied science in accounting from Aakers Business College in Fargo.
Wagner awarded
Century 21 Morrison Realty announced that Kathy Wagner, a multi-million dollar producer for several years, was recently awarded the Sales Pinnacle Award for 2007. Along with the Sales Pinnacle Award, Wagner has been awarded the Century 21 Quality Service Award and Top Referral Agent Award.
Three awarded
Patrick Bitz has earned March's Digital Solutions specialist of the month for Midwest Business Solutions. Dan Gietzen was voted on by his peers as March's employee of the month. Ron Emter has earned March's service support specialist of the month.
Gunwall transferred
Chase Gunwall has tranferred to the Bismarck Pacific Sound and Video. Gunwall is a custom install technician. Gunwall moved from the Dickinson Pacific Sound and Video, where he worked for four years.
Troy Olson from Pacific Sound and Video attended HTSA's programmers meeting. HTSA is a national association of home theater experts.
Sick, Aberle hired
American Bank Center hired Cheryl Sick as a teller at the Washington Center location. She has a bachelor's degree from Minot State University.
American Bank Center also hired Liza Aberle as a teller at the downtown bank. She has two and a half years experience as a cosmetologist, with additional experience as a receptionist and in customer service.
Carlson promoted
Sabrina Carlson has been promoted to personal banker by Starion Financial. She provides customer service support to the south Bismarck bank.
Carlson joined Starion in 2003 as a teller and was later promoted to customer service representative.
Brusven hired
Midwest Business Systems has hired Mark Brusven. Brusven is a digital support specialist with more than 25 years of experience. He previously worked for Office Systems Inc. and Toshiba Business Solutions.
Three awarded
Mark Johnson, North Dakota Association of Counties executive director and Paul Govig, North Dakota Department of Commerce deputy director and Division for Community Services director, received the Friends of Extension Award at the NDSU Extension Service spring conference in Bismarck. Johnson is a strong supporter of the NDSU Extension Service and has encouraged partnership efforts among counties and the Extension Service to provide educational services to the people of North Dakota. Govig has been an advocate for NDSU Extension Service programming for many years, especially in the areas of community and leadership development.
Nancy Jo Bateman, North Dakota Beef Commission executive director, receives the Friend of North Dakota Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences Award. Bateman is a partner in family and consumer sciences programs.
Exam passed
Kyle Holwagner with Lahr & Lahr Commercial recently passed his real estate broker's exam through the North Dakota Real Estate Commission. He has been active in the Bismarck-Mandan commercial real estate market since 2004.
One hired
Sue Hatzenbuhler recently accepted a position as an insurance agent with Missouri Valley Insurance and brings to the company 10 years of experience in the insurance industry. She specializes in group employee benefits designed to provide comprehensive coverage for employees including health, dental, disability, and vision.
Steinwand awarded
Todd Steinwand, business banking manager for Wells Fargo Bank, was presented with the Leadership Bismarck-Mandan Alumni Association's Distinguished Alumnus award during the graduation luncheon of the 2008 Leadership class, held at the Seven Seas.
Steinwand has been involved with the chamber and city officials to enact legislation that allowed traditional bank financing for property owners who were affected by the oil spill remediation. He served as chairman of the board of the Bismarck-Mandan Chamber.
Two named
Medcenter One recently named two new members to its board of directors:Wes Engbrecht and Larry C. Skogen.
Engbrecht is the director of communications and public relations for Capital Electric Cooperative in Bismarck. He previously worked in banking and as a certified public accountant.
Skogen serves as president of Bismarck State College. Skogen most recently served as academic dean and deputy superintendent for academic affairs at New Mexico Military Institute following his retirement from a career in the U.S. Air Force. He holds degrees in secondary education and history.
Two passed
Peggy Nordgaard and Shirley Voss, Realtors with Century 21 Morrison, recently passed the Real Estate Broker Exam. They have now achieved status as broker associates.
Three hired
Mid-America Credit Union Association recently hired Amy Jo Johnson and Cindy Griffin. Johnson will serve as the education coordinator, overseeing the planning, organizing, and budgeting for the education department.
Griffin will serve as the human resource specialist. She will be responsible for reviewing and disseminating human resource laws, along with drafting and auditing credit union policies to maintain compliance.
