Rudnick with WPC

Holly Rudnick has been hired as office manager at Western Plains Consulting Inc.

A North Dakota native, she was previously employed by Triumph Hospital-Central Dakotas in Mandan.

Pfleger hired

Heather Pfleger has become a title insurance agent at Mandan Guaranty & Title Co.

She is a Bismarck State College graduate with associate of arts and associate of science degrees. Her work experience includes more than four years in the banking industry.

Two earn awards

Den Na Lee Fewson and Jane Brown, Signature HomeStyles representatives from Bismarck, were recently honored for outstanding achievement at the company's 2009 convention near Chicago.

Fewson received the following awards or honors: Top 10 in show average with the No. 1 spot, Top 10 in personal sales with a No. 9 spot, $75,000 Circle of Dreams achiever and a spot on President's Council, which is held by only seven representatives each year.

Brown's achievements were: Top 10 in show average with the No. 6 spot, Top 10 in personal sales with the No. 2 spot, $75,000 Circle of Dreams achiever and a spot in President's Council.

Kvas licensed

Mark E. Kvas, with Braun Intertec Corp., recently became a licensed professional engineer in North Dakota.

Kvas serves as a project manager for geotechnical engineering and construction materials projects and has been involved in projects that include Home Depot, Wal-mart, Coal Creek Station and Dakota Gasification Co.

Brousseau joins

Michael Brousseau, a physical therapist, recently joined the Medcenter One Occupational Health Clinic in Bismarck.

Brousseau evaluates and treats work-related injuries and oversees the patient's rehabilitation. He also performs pre-placement testing, pre-injury screening, functional capacity assessments, work-conditioning programs, job site analysis and ergonomic assessments.

Cotter Lawler chosen

Kathleen Cotter Lawler was recently promoted to vice president and chief operating officer of Activities for Learning Inc. of Hazelton.

She has been with the company for nine years. It serves homeschools and classrooms throughout the nation and in numerous other countries.

Meduna moves up

Heidi Meduna was recently promoted to clinic supervisor of the Medcenter One Occupational Health Clinic in Dickinson, where she oversees the daily operations.

Meduna previously was the clinic's client services coordinator.

Skogen promoted

Gate City Bank has promoted Tammy Skogen to mortgage loan officer at its Bismarck Gateway Office, 2710 N. State St.

Skogen has been employed at Gate City Bank as a customer service representative for three years.

In her new position, Skogen will provide mortgage lending product and service expertise.

Two hired

Nathan Goldsack and Paul Seifert have joined Swenson, Hagen & Co. as surveyors.

Both are recent graduates of Bismarck State College. Goldsack earned an associate in applied science degree and Seifert received associates in science and applied science and a certificate of completion in GIS.

Both will do construction surveys in the land services division.

Goldsack is a native of Mandan and Seifert is a native of Bismarck.

Nilges appointed

Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has appointed Julie Nilges as an assistant relief inspector in the North Dakota State Meat and Poultry Inspection Program.

A Minnesota native, Nilges graduated from Argosy University in Minneapolis. She lived on a farm in Kansas for 27 years, while working for the Kansas Department of Agriculture as a meat and poultry inspector and in the department's weights and measures division.

In her new position, Nilges will assist the program director, Dr. Andrea Grondahl, and senior inspectors.

The State Meat and Poultry Inspection Program provides inspection services to 15 slaughter and processing plants and 94 custom exempt plants.
