Larson hired

Thomas Larson joined Bartlett & West as a field representative. Larson will work with clients for construction obserrvation on water supply and water pipeline projects, water storage tanks, pump stations and water treatment plants, among other things.

Guidinger accredited

Guy L. Guidinger, a mechanical engineer at Prairie Engineering, P.C., recently received his accreditation as a registered professional engineer. As the industrial manager, he provides HVAC engineering services to industrial and architectural clients in North Dakota and surrounding states.

Moch hired

Janet Moch was hired as an finanical services assistant in the accounting and tax department in Farm Credit Services of Mandan. She will be working as an enrolled agent tax preparer for the association. She spent 17 years with H&R Block and was a master tax associate and office manager.

Rudnick joins

Lee Rudnick has joined the custom install division of Pacific Sound and Video. He has a background in computer networking and electrical technology, and will be providing installation services.

Klipfel named

Job Service North Dakota announced that Bryan Klipfel has been named the agency's new human resources director.

Klipfel served as superintendent of the North Dakota Highway Patrol from 2003 to 2007. For eight years prior to serving as chief executive of the department, Klipfel managed the human resources function of the Highway Patrol as administrative services commander.

Hulm hired

Laurie Hulm recently joined Agency MABU. A senior at the University of Mary, Hulm will work as a marketing and communications intern for the 2008 spring semester. Hulm's responsibilities will consist of coordinating a variety of marketing and communications projects.

Body shop awarded

Duane's Body & Frame Shop Inc., of Bismarck, received the "Body Shop of the Month" for December 2007, and "Body shop of the Year" for North Dakota and "Body Shop of 4th Quarter, nationWide from Progressive Insurance Co.

Harty joins

Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, a division of Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., announced the addition of Ryan Harty as a home mortgage consultant in its Bismarck location. Harty has more than three years of financial experience. Prior to joining Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, he served as service manager for Wells Fargo Bank, Bismarck.

Grooms hired

Dr. Paul Grooms, a board certified emergency room doctor, recently started work at Medcenter One's Emergency and Trauma Center. Grooms received his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri and completed his emergency medicine residency at Texas Tech University in El Paso.

Certification earned

Julie Jacobson, a registered nurse with Medcenter One's infection control department, recently earned national certification in infection control through the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology.

Two hired

Eide Bailly LLP announced that Kole Hetletved and Bobbie Krahler have joined their Bismarck office as audit associates. Hetletved has a bachelor of accountancy degree from University of North Dakota. Krahler has a bachelor of science in accounting and business administration from the University of Mary.

One hired

Liberty Tax Service hired Barbara Reister to its staff at the South Washington and Expressway office in Bismarck. Reister is an enrolled agent and has 15 years of tax preparation experience.

Directors appointed

The Arc of Bismarck has a newly appointed board of directors for 2007-08: Corinne Hofmann, president; Matt Schwarz, vice president; Shantell Meidinger, secretary-treasurer; Rita Gietzen, past president; Leon Dietrich, Sharon Goodman and Becky Nygaard, directors.

Two published

Rebecca Andes, a family nurse practitioner at Medcenter One, wrote an article that was recently published in the January 2008 edition of a national journal, Advance for Nurse Practitioners. Her article, which focuses on multiple sclerosis, will serve as continuing education for other nurse practitioners.

Sara Berger, an instructor at the Medcenter One College of Nursing, wrote an article that was recently published in the January/February 2008 edition of a national journal, Nurse Educator. Her article is titled "A Creative Project to Teach Endocrinology Pathophysiology."
