Buntrock hired

The new financial services director for Dakota Gasification Co. is Andrew Buntrock, based at Basin Electric Power Cooperative's headquarters building in Bismarck.

A native of Driscoll, Buntrock is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a master's degree in business administration.

A member of the North Dakota Air National Guard, he served in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He also has worked in banking and finance for six years.

Oster with Basin

Brittany Oster has joined Basin Electric Power Cooperative as a communications technician apprentice at its transmission systems maintenance division in Mandan.

Oster, a Hazen native, graduated from Bismarck State College with an associate in applied science degree in electronics and telecommunications.

Gullicks licensed

Wes Gullicks of Ulteig Engineers recently became licensed as a professional engineer, which is a standard recognized by the industry.

Gullicks is an electrical engineer in the Bismarck office. He has worked at Ulteig for three years.

Ulteig also has regional offices in Fargo, Detroit Lakes, Minn., Minneapolis and Sioux Falls, S.D.

Rauta joins

Dr. Radu Rauta is expected to join the internal medicine department at Mid Dakota Clinic, Bismarck, in mid-August.

Rauta received his medical degree from Carol Davila University of Medicine & Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania, and most recently was employed with Medcenter One Health Systems in Bismarck and West River Health Services in Hettinger.

He is board-certified in internal medicine and a member of the American Medical Association, as well as the North Dakota Medical Association.

Murray promoted

Basin Electric Power Cooperative has promoted Mike Murray to property and right-of-way supervisor at its headquarters building in Bismarck.

Murray has worked at Basin as a property and right-of-way specialist since 1994. He will supervise staff responsible for landowner and member relations, property management, easement acquisition and associated services throughout Basin's service territory.

A graduate of Bismarck State College, Murray has an associate's degree in business administration. He also was named the 2006 International Right of Way Association Professional of the Year for North Dakota and South Dakota and is president of the two-state chapter of the International Right of Way Association.

Promoted, hired

The North Dakota Department of Commerce has promoted Bill Huether to be manager of the Office of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, and has hired four new staff members in recent months.

Brian Opp will serve as the accountability officer in the Office of Innovation and Strategic Initiatives, Ryan Rauschenberger as the manager of business energy development, John Diem as the residential energy specialist and Sarah Johnson as the talent marketing coordinator.

Huether will be responsible for managing the state's programs and initiatives to promote increased energy efficiency and production of renewable energy.

A native of Regent, he has been with Commerce since 2004. Previously, he was state energy engineer. Huether is a registered professional engineer in five states, a certified energy manager and a certified green building engineer.

Opp will conduct post-award monitoring of the state's Centers of Excellence programs. A native of Glen Ullin, Opp previously worked at Dakota Community Bank, where he was a consumer loan officer. He has a number of years of experience in the banking industry, and is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a degree in business administration.

Rauschenberger will be responsible for coordinating energy-related development efforts in the state. A native of Kenmare, he worked at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Minneapolis as a financial auditor. A certified public accountant, he graduated from the University of North Dakota with a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's in business administration.

Diem will work with the local Community Action Weatherization programs as the residential energy specialist and also help implement the State Building Code and Manufactured Home Installation Program. A native of Missoula, Mont., Diem previously was self-employed in the energy conservation field.

Johnson will implement and track strategic activities that connect individuals who want to relocate in North Dakota with existing businesses or organizations in the state. A Bismarck native, Johnson previously worked at Prevent Child Abuse North Dakota as program support manager. She graduated from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn., with a bachelor's degree in political science.

Olson takes post

Jeff Olson has been hired as director of political affairs and public relations for the Mid-America Credit Union Association.

Headquartered in Bismarck, MACUA is a professional trade association serving 89 credit unions in North Dakota and South Dakota.

Neibauer, Elliott hired

Tina Neibauer and Tammie Elliott have been hired in the Payroll Shared Services department of MDU Resources Group Inc. They will be responsible for maintaining employee data, printing paychecks, printing pay advices and filing.

Prior to joining MDU Resources, Neibauer was a quality-assurance specialist with Great Plains Rehabilitation Services, where she prepared claims for billing specialists.

Elliott was an accountant for Insure Forward in Jamestown for nine years and also worked for Bank Forward before moving to Bismarck.

McLeish promoted

North Dakota Guaranty & Title Co. has promoted Denese McLeish to title insurance associate.

McLeish will work out of the company's Mandan office.

She has been with the company since June 2007, and is a graduate of Minnesota State University-Moorhead.

Hulm joins agency

Laurie Hulm recently joined Agency MABU as a marketing and communications coordinator.

Hulm is a 2008 graduate of the University of Mary with a degree in business communications.

Agency MABU is headquartered in Bismarck, with affiliated offices in Minot, Fargo, Colorado Springs, Colo., San Diego and Arlington, Va.

Butler joins firm

BlackRidgeBank Bismarck Loan Office has hired Kristen Butler as vice president of client services.

Butler has 11 years of banking experience, most recently as a branch manager for a local financial institution. She will manage the personal banking, private banking and cash management functions for the office.

Three take jobs

Brady Martz, Bismarck, has three new professionals: Jon Griffin, Caleb Daniels and Monica Gainsforth.

Griffin, a University of North Dakota graduate, started his accounting career at Brady Martz in Grand Forks. He will work in the audit and accounting department

Daniels is a recent graduate of Minnesota State University -Moorhead, and also will work in the audit and accounting department.

Gainsforth, a UND graduate and certified public accountant, is returning to Bismarck after working for six years in the Minneapolis area. She will be employed in the tax department.

Theisen awarded

Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center employee Shelley Theisen of Bismarck has been selected as the center's employee of the quarter.

A Bismarck native and 12-plus year employee at MSLCC, she was a certified nurse assistant and scheduling clerk before becoming the nursing/HR office assistant.

Future leader

The North Dakota Long Term Care Association says Rosanne Schmidt, vice president of Behavioral Health and Transitional Care at St. Alexius Medical Center, has been chosen by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living as a future leader in long-term care.

Schmidt participated in AHCA/NCAL's "Future Leaders of Long Term Care in America" symposium on July 22-24 in Washington, D.C. The symposium kicks off a year-long program that offers training and guidance for long term care professionals.
