Jane Greer, writer-editor and owner of Custom WordWork, recently spoke on corporate communication credibility at the Ragan Communications' Corporate Communication Conference in Chicago.

One recertified

James T. Podrebarac, DDS, FACHE, was recently recertified as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a national professional society for healthcare leaders. Fellow status signifies board certification in healthcare management and ACHE Fellow status.

Dealership news

Daryl Johnson, service manager for Cedric Theel Dodge Toyota, is retiring after 39 years with the dealership, which is formerly Missouri Valley Motors, and has been Cedric Theel Dodge since 1985. Johnson, a Steele native, started in the parts department and has been service manager for 29 years.

Jim Ekart was recently promoted to parts and service director. Ekart will oversee all activities in the parts, service, and body shop departments.

Jenny Bloom was promoted to parts manager. She will be overseeing all daily parts activities.

Brian Taix was promoted from service adviser to service manager. Taix will manage the Dodge and Toyota service departments.

Jenny Wiedmann was hired as service adviser. Wiedmann has been in the auto industry for nine years. Dan Lee was hired as a sales consultant. Lee brings with him two years of selling experience. Shawna Lelm, a Turtle Lake native, was hired as the assistant office manager; she spent seven years as an office manager in Devils Lake.

One awarded

Dr. Christina Tello-Skjerseth was awarded the "Resident of the Year" award from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences and Meritcare Health Systems Transitional Year Residency Program in Fargo. Tello-Skjerseth, a Bismarck native, will begin a four-year Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.

Evanger promoted

Kirby Evanger has been promoted to chief credit officer at Starion Financial. In his new position, he will be responsible for bank-wide credit administration and supervision of the credit department. Evanger joined Starion as a senior credit analyst in 2005, was promoted to credit department manager a year later and to vice president-credit department manager in 2007.

Butts hired

Alan Butts is Pifer's newest broker associate and auction coordinator for central North Dakota in their Bismarck office. He has extensive background in farming, finance, cattle and irrigation. Butts has a bachelor of science in agricultural economics from North Dakota State University.

Two hired

Midwest Business Systems has added Mark Brusven and Maynard Fenster to their team.

Brusven is a digital support specialist possessing more than 25 years of experience. He has previously worked for Office Systems Inc. and Toshiba Business Solutions.

Fenster is a digital support specialist possessing more than 25 years of experience. Fenster has an associate's degree in electronics from the North Dakota State College of Science. He has previously worked for Office Systems Inc. and Toshiba Business Solutions. Maynard will be working out of the Williston area.

Bortke hired

Todd Bortke has accepted the position of information systems director for St. Alexius Medical Center. He has 23 years of information systems experience supporting the St. Alexius Heart & Lung Clinic, St. Alexius Specialty Clinics, Mid Dakota Clinic and other rural clinic sites.

Two attend

Amy Gross and Sarah Cornell, radiation therapists at the Bismarck Cancer Center, recently attended the 58th annual North Dakota Society of Radiological Technologist's annual conference. The conference provided up-to-date information regarding radiologic technology and the specialties within the field.
