Killdeer - The Hill Top Heritage Foundation will take donations through Jan. 1 for its eighth annual Lit Up a Light at the Hill Top Home of Comfort. Those interested can make donations in honor of someone living or deceased. Contact the home for information, or to make a donation.

Grant County - The Carson Senior Meals will hold a Christmas dinner and program at noon today at the center and the New Leipzig Senior Meals will have a Christmas supper and program at 6 tonight at the center. Also, a children's performance, the community cantata choir and a candlelight service will be held for the community at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve at Hope Church in Elgin. The offering will go toward the Jacobson Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Mott - The Mott Visionary fall raffle has been extended until June 30 with a 7 p.m. drawing at George's Office. Tickets will be sold until that date, with proceeds to go toward community improvement projects. Also, a grand reopening of the Mott bowling alley, now Flushing Hills Lanes and Dining will be held at noon Jan. 9. New operators are Pat and Shonna Perkins.

Tuttle - The Tuttle Wildlife Club will hold a fishing derby Saturday on Lake Josephine in Kidder County. A $5 entry will be charged.

North Unit - Birders are invited to participate in the annual Christmas Bird Count at the North Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park near Watford City. Participants should meet at 9 a.m. today at the visitor center and anyone who stops in later should check in for directions to counting areas.

Crooked Lake - A one-day winter workshop for "Becoming an Outdoors Woman," will be held Jan. 17 at Crooked Lake in McLean County. Participants will learn how to ice fish and dark house spearfish.
