MINOT (AP) - Two people have been sentenced for the 2007 beating death of a woman on the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation.

Justin Beston and Chelsey Amyotte, both of Dunseith, were charged with killing 49-year-old Danielle Baker. Authorities say Baker was attacked at a party and died as a result of punches thrown by Beston and Amyotte.

Beston pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. A jury found Amyotte guilty of involuntary manslaughter and assault resulting in serious bodily injury.

U.S. District Judge Daniel Hovland sentenced the 28-year-old Beston to 15 years in prison, and the 18-year-old Amyotte to nearly four years in prison. The defendants were ordered to pay $6,500 in restitution.
