A man in a ski mask bungled a beer theft at a Bismarck convenience store but still made it out with an 18-pack.Bismarck Police Lt. Randy Ziegler said a man in a dark ski mask, blue flannel coat and camouflage hat entered Loaf N' Jug, 2835 N. Washington St., and started to walk out with an 18-pack of Miller Lite.
The clerk hit the panic alarm, which does not sound in the store, to alert police at 11:46 p.m. Wednesday. Around the same time, the carton containing the beer broke, scattering beer in the store, Ziegler said.
He said the man went back to the beer display, grabbed another 18-pack and fled.
The beer was valued at $15.11, Ziegler said. He said there was surveillance video of the incident, but the man's face is covered the whole time by the ski mask.
