Brad Bachmeier is a nationally recognized artist who is known for his raku style of ceramics.

Bachmeier is also the art director chairperson at Fargo North High School, and a ceramics faculty member at Minnesota State University Moorhead, but his art is going on display at the Dickinson State University Art Gallery.

The "Clay Carnival" will run from today to Oct. 30. The gallery hours are from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. The exhibit features Bachmeier's raku style. Raku is a ceramic process that involves a low fire kiln. The outcome is a sort of burnt looking pottery.

The show does not cost anything to attend as it is being held at a public gallery.
