I think it is high time we put an end to all of lies by politicians. How is it that each one can tell us opposite stories, yet they are all right? They can not all be right while telling different tales. How do we go about forcing them to tell us the truth? I have an idea. We should make it a law that anytime a politician is speaking on behalf of, or about the government, in any form or venue, that they are under oath. Whether it be a campaigning, a political ad, a speech on the congressional floor, a photo op, a press release or communication with a lobbyist, or anyone else, they are under oath. If they violate this oath, they are then subject to the penalty of perjury. I feel that this should help. While we are at it, why not stiffen the penalty for perjury to something like 25 years mandatory for first offense, and double it for each subsequent offense? Let America hear the truth - not the partisan lies and half truths.

How about the lies that Obama says they he does not take PAC money? How about the lie that he says "McCain wants to be in Iraq for 100 years.".. forgetting of course, the part where McCain said, "as long as we are not losing our soldiers" I guess Obama does not know that we are still in Geramany, Japan and over 100 other countries! AND McCain did NOT say "I want to stay in Irag for 100 years" to begin with! If there is a mudslinging fest going on, it was the Obama Camp that began it with that statement!
And don't forget the famous line of Obama.... "leave my wife alone" when she (the very angry woman) had her mouth open at the wrong time again!
Oh BTW.... does Hillary still stand by her statement that "Obama is not ready to be president"? "

" Amused-Good Idea! I'd like to know about all of those things also. Wish there was a Media who cared enough to tell the whole truth. But I don't suppose they would be around for long.
You are right! But there are some places that do tell the truth but, when all the candidates lie to begin with it is hard to tell the real truth. I do watch a lot for TV and read a lot. Some papers are better than others and FOX News does put out the truth and then they let the voters decide but, there again you have the people that are so used to all the Left wing liberal news media, like CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NYT, and then of course things like Huffington post, move-on, media matters and others that they will never believe the real news that comes out! I know they will be bashing my posts as soon as it is put up! I don't listen to the people on the radio, do not listen to Rush or most others unless I just catch part of it while visiting people, etc..... I heard a bit of Joel Heitkamp this morning and I just thought, gezz is that guy stupid! That man certainly does not belong on the radio! So I turned him off! "
