BSC music faculty to perform concert

Bismarck State College music faculty will perform in a free concert Saturday. It starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Sidney J. Lee Auditorium.

Music selections include Oscar Peterson's "The Gentle Waltz" and Claude Bolling's "Toot Suite," as well as pieces by Scarlatti, Puccini and Massenet.

Performing are instrumentalist John Darling, soprano Dawn Hagerott, tenor Clyde Bauman, percussionist Adam Halverson, bassist Doug Klein, clarinetists Joan Eckroth-Riley and Jeanette Rehberg, pianists Diane Eichhorst and Arlene Gray, and instrumentalist Brianne Fuzesy.

A visiting artist from Turkey, Gizem Bircek, also will perform. She recently finished her master's in performance on bassoon in Switzerland and is in the U.S. on a visitor's visa.

Pianists Julie Schwartz and Nancy Darling of Bismarck will accompany some of the selections.
