Hettinger — Hettinger will celebrate the Fourth of July with a dance by the Roosters on July 3, a fun run and walk, fireman’s breakfast, parade, free noon meal and dance by Silverado July 4, followed by fireworks at Mirror Lake. The Jaycees will hold a demolition derby July 5.

Rhame — The Rhame centennial and gala days will be held Friday through Sunday, with a celebration parade at 10 a.m. Saturday. Anyone who wants information can call Betty Heinrich at 279-5576, or Laurie Braaten at 279-5530.
Bowman — A farm and ranch resource night will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the multipurpose building on the Bowman County fairgrounds at Bowman. The night will include sessions on cover crops, converting CRP to grazing, value in waste management, and a supper at 7:30 p.m.

Driscoll — Driscoll will celebrate its 125th with a disc jockey from 9 a.m. to close July 3, mud volleyball and horseshoes at 1 p.m. July 4 and music from 9 p.m. to close and a dance to Fully Loaded starting at 9 p.m. July 5.

Dunn County — Vang and Normanna Lutheran Church will celebrate a 100th anniversary at 1:30 p.m. July 5 at Vang and starting with worship at 10 a.m. July 6 at Normanna, followed by a noon meal. Everyone is invited to join the celebration of the church history.

Strasburg — The 43rd annual Beaver Valley Horse Club Rodeo will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Strasburg. There also will be a clown and specialty act, a wild ride and a calf scramble both nights. Concessions and a beer garden will be open. Admission is $10 for adults and $6 for youth.

Elgin — The Elgin Dakota Lions will host Pies in the Park starting at 5:30 Friday evenings through Aug. 29. A piece will cost $1.75 and various community groups and organizations will be servers.

Napoleon — Logan County children who’ve completed grades 1 through 12 can participate in a Logan County Farmers Union day class from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Napoleon. Also, the 63rd annual meeting of the Farmers Union Oil Co. stockholders will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the American Legion Hall in Napoleon. One director will be elected.

Keene — A school built of sandstone in the Blue Buttes country near Keene will celebrate its 100th anniversary reunion at noon Thursday at the Keene Dome. The school closed in 1960 and any former students, or friends of the area, are welcome to the noon meal, which will be followed by a tour of the school, where cake and coffee will be served.

Hebron — The Hebron Farmers Elevator stockholders annual meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hebron City Hall.

Raleigh — Antique tractors are sought for the fifth annual Tractor Trek, starting in Flasher at 8 a.m. July 5, ending in Raleigh in time for the antique tractor parade. Tractors must be older than 1970s vintage. Entrants will pay $20 and the fee includes a noon meal at the Dogtooth Inn.

Marmarth — The 43rd annual Little Missouri Saddle Club Rodeo will be held July 4 in Marmarth, starting at 8 a.m. with timed stock events, and includes a 1 p.m. parade on Main Street, a tug-of-war a 3 p.m., and the rodeo at 5 p.m. There’s a $1,000 added purse in saddle bronc riding in memory of Justin and Casey Jacobson and Brandon Klein. Belfield — A pottery road show and open house will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. July 12 at the Belfield Memorial Hall.
