A group that funds developers of North Dakota farm products is giving money to five projects.The quarterly grants from the Agricultural Products Utilization Commission, a state Commerce Department program better known as APUC, total nearly $200,000.
The North Dakota State University plant sciences department is getting the largest grant, $75,000, for corn research.
The Mandan-based North Dakota Dairy Coalition is getting $66,000 for its efforts to boost the industry.
Smaller grants are going to a Driscoll-based meat sheep operation, a Casselton winery and a Stanton lodge.
