WING - Jim Long, 38, was unanimously endorsed by the District 14 Democratic-NPL Sunday for a state Senate bid.

Long said his platform will focus on solving problems at Workforce Safety and Insurance.

"I am not just a one-issue candidate. I have a diverse background in technology, finance and labor that will help make North Dakota a better place to live and work," Long said. "However, it would be disingenuous for me to tell you that WSI is not one of my hot-button issues."

District 14 covers all of Kidder and Wells counties, the southern third of Sheridan County and the eastern two-thirds of Burleigh County.

The Republican incumbent is Jerry Klein of Fessenden.
