Sheep Creek - The first Seib's Sports Bar Sheep Creek Dam ice fishing tournament will be held starting with registration at 7 p.m. Friday at Seib's, with fishing Saturday. The tournament is for bluegill, game fish and crappie. Some proceeds will go toward the North Dakota Game and Fish Department's fishery conservation program.

Hazen - Gov. John Hoeven will be in Hazen at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday to hear a performance by the Hazen Concert Band, which has been named the 2007-08 Governor's Band. The mini-concert is open to the public. The governor will have a private reception afterward with the band and its director.
