Richter graduates
Carissa Richter, vice president of operations of the North Dakota Chamber of Commerce, graduated from the Institute for Organization Management, a four-year nonprofit leadership training program held at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Ariz.
Schafer hired
Jenni Schafer recently joined Escape on Third Salon in Bismarck. Schafer comes from Fargo and has six years experience in the haircutting industry.
Two trained
Open Road Honda technicians Zach Taber and Casey Martin recently attended a weeklong technician training at the American Honda Service Training facility in Irving, Texas. Taber earned certifications in ATV Diagnosis and Advanced Engine Service. Martin was certified in ATV Diagnosis and Advanced ATV Service.
Hauer elected
Joe Hauer, chairman of the board of United Printing and Mailing, was recently elected to the Lewis & Clark Fort Mandan Foundation board of directors. Hauer also serves on the board of directors of American Bank Center of Bismarck and its parent corporation, American Bancor, and is a University of Mary trustee.

The North Dakota Association of Community Facilities has elected Barbara Murry of Pride Inc. to serve as president of the organization for the next two years.
Mike Remboldt, a Gackle native and executive director of HIT, was elected vice president of NDACF. Don Nelson, executive director of Alpha Opportunities in Jamestown, was elected secretary-treasurer.

John Schell, CPA, a shareholder with Brady, Martz & Associates, P.C., and Marvy Grueneich, CPA, a manager with Brady, Martz & Associates, recently attended a seminar on Oil and Gas Tax Partnerships at the University of Tulsa. The seminar covered advanced tax issues encountered by oil and gas partnerships, including the formation, operations and liquidation of the entity.

Jolinda Haff is working in the business services area providing payroll, accounts payable and bookkeeping services. Haff, originally from Napoleon, graduated from the University of Mary with bachelor's degrees in computer information systems, business administration and accounting.
Sara Malsom, a Bismarck native, will work on tax and audit services. Malsom has a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in business administration.
Steven Richard from Washburn recently graduated summa cum laude from Dickinson State University with bachelor's degrees in accounting and business administration. Richard will be working primarily in the audit area.
Haley Freitag has joined Brady Martz as an intern. She is attending Dickinson State University, expecting to graduate in December with a bachelor's degree in accounting.
Brady Martz also says Laura Adair, CPA, has returned. Adair will be working mainly with taxes and also training programs for the office.

Conlin's Furniture hired Ethan Baggett to its team of design consultants. He brings more than 19 years of experience in the furniture industry to the staff.

Agent recognized
Century 21 has recognized Lore Bruner-Schneider among the top 100 agents in the Great North Region, comprised of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Nebraska. She was recognized for the 2007 year for both the total number of transactions and commissions earned, which qualifies her to be among the Masters Ruby Award recipients, who are an elite number of sales associates in the United States acknowledged by the Century 21 System.
Super lawyers
Tim Purdon and H. Patrick Weir Sr., with the Bismarck office of the Vogel Law Firm, were recognized as 2007 Great Plains "Super Lawyers," a list published in the Minnesota Law & Politics magazine honoring lawyers recognized in their respective practice areas.

Robert McFarland temporarily joins the staff of Northern Plains Dance as artistic director for the production "Ballet to Beatbox," which will run in Bismarck at the Belle Mehus. A native of Santa Cruz, Calif., McFarland began dancing at the age of 22 after training as an actor.

Wells Fargo Home Mortgage recently named branch sales manager Mike Wolf to its president's club for his efforts in providing outstanding customer service and exceeding sales goals in 2007.

North Dakota Guaranty & Title Co. promoted Karen Johner to president. Johner began her career with North Dakota Guaranty & Title Co. in May of 1993, working at Mandan Guaranty & Title Co. Prior to joining Mandan Guaranty & Title, Johner worked at J.M. Devine Abstract Co. in Minot.
North Dakota Guaranty & Title Co. also announced the hiring of Doug Dutke. Dutke will serve as a vice president and sales manager. Dutke comes from Phoenix, where he spent the last three years as a commercial and residential title officer for Chicago Title Insurance Co.
