The 12th annual charity fun day bowling tournament at Midway Lanes in Mandan again resulted in Christmas gifts for three local charities.

Sponsored by Terry Barnes Auto Glass, Midway Lanes and KFYR Radio, the charity event drew 52 teams and produced $4,851 for Pam's House, the shelter operated by the Abused Adult Resource Center, the Jesse Hillard Scholarship Fund and the Alice Baer Memorial Foundation.

Checks for $1,617 each were presented Tuesday to Bob Hillard, representing the Hillard Scholarship Fund; Duane Voegele, representing the Alice Baer Memorial Foundation; and Stan Stelter, AARC development director. Presenting the checks were Terry Barnes and Jim Mellon and Sheila Tveito of Midway Lanes.
