A new insult

One kid called another kid a "vampire."

Somehow, this incident was reported to police. I'm still not clear on why, but I guess it was harassment.

Now, I'm not very old -- mid 20s -- so it wasn't all that long ago that I was in middle school. The names tossed out during arguments were certainly a lot more inflammatory than "vampire." Maybe it was just a Halloween-related argument or something, but I'm thinking if "vampire" is all kids these days can come up with, they should just keep their mouths shut.
