Wayne State

Tomorrow morning we head to Wayne, Nebraska to play our final game the the 2009 football season. We suffered another loss last week to a tough Bemidji State football team and have now lost our last two games in a row. Our record currently stands at 5-5 and this weekend we are playing to end the year with a winning season. This game still means alot to our season as we try to take our program to the next level. Wayne is a very solid team who at one point was nationally ranked this season. We have had a fun week of practice and are prepared for Saturday's game. This week's "Big Three" are:

1) Best for last - finish strong

2) Winning record

3) Growth - reduce penalties.

Some things that went on throughout the week on our team: Alex Gilbertson got a mohawk and now thinks that all the wide receivers should as well. Too bad the only receiver that was talked into doing this was Tyler Steffan. Personally, I am not a mohawk guy. Everyone else was just talk (Bryan Sandy) I guess so keep an eye out for those two and their attractive look. Today, all the starting offensive linemen wore the quarterback's orange "do not hit me" jerseys. To finish practice, center LT Brown took a rep at QB and threw a dart to me on a curl route. The team was pretty impressed and Henry Lau may lose his spot if he is not careful (just kidding). These were just some things that went down this week to help keep everyone loose and having fun on the field.
